SundayMorning    SERMON sNIPPET

SUNDAY MARCH 8 2026

The sermon explored John 1:1-14, reminding us that "the Word became flesh and lived among us." Rev. Lynch took us back to "the beginning" - not just to Bethlehem, but to before creation itself - to help us understand that Jesus is God's self-expression in the world. She connected the struggles of the early Jewish-Christian community (who faced rejection and division over their faith in Jesus) to our present darkness - the wars, family separations, injustice, and personal pain we navigate today. The powerful truth: God did not remain distant from human suffering but "pulled up" and came directly to us in Jesus Christ. Our faith must now take form in what we say (our witness), what we do (our work), and how we live (embodying the Word).
